With the continuous development and popularization of global 5G networks, the demand for high-speed data transmission is continually increasing, driving ongoing innovation in optical communication technologies. As a technology follower of 5G OPEN RAN (Open Radio Access Network), GIGALIGHT provides multiple optical transceivers that meet OPEN RAN standards for 5G small cell equipment vendors, including next-generation 5G fronthaul DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) optical transceivers and single-wavelength 100G series optical transceivers, to meet the growing demands of 5G networks and facilitate the construction of faster, more reliable communication networks.
Next-Generation 5G Fronthaul DWDM Optical Transceiver
25G SFP28 DWDM
The 25G DWDM series optical transceivers utilize an EML+PIN device solution with a power consumption of less than 1.5W. Transmission distances are available at 2km/10km, with options for ITU C-band 100GHz 44 channels.
50G SFP56 DWDM
Compared to 25G Optical transceivers, the 50G SFP56 DWDM doubles the rate to 50Gb/s within the same package size, saving 50% of ports and further enhancing the density and bandwidth of wireless fronthaul, aiding the smooth evolution of O-RAN and vRAN architecture systems into the next generation. The 50G DWDM series Optical transceivers employ an EML+PIN device solution with a power consumption of less than 3.1W. Equipped with DCM and EDFA, transmission distances can reach up to 80km.
Single-Wavelength 100G Series Optical Transceiver
GIGALIGHT focuses on developing small-form-factor SFP56/SFP56-DD/SFP112 optical transceivers for 5G fronthaul. These optical transceivers increase port density while delivering exceptional performance, meeting users’ needs across various working scenarios.
100G SFP56-DD LR1/ER1 Lite
The 100G SFP56-DD LR1 optical transceiver offers a maximum transmission distance of 20km, suitable for data centers, communication networks, and other scenarios. The 100G SFP56-DD ER1 Lite optical transceiver meets longer-distance data transmission requirements with a maximum transmission distance of 30km. Both Optical transceivers exhibit outstanding performance, with the LR1’s OMA sensitivity better than -10.93dB and the ER1 Lite’s OMA sensitivity exceeding -13.05dB, ensuring stable transmission of high-quality signals even in complex and variable optical signal environments. Furthermore, these two series of optical transceivers boast low power consumption, controlled below 3.5W, and a TDECQ average of only 2.6dB, demonstrating exceptional stability and reliability, providing users with efficient, smooth, and energy-saving data transmission experiences.
100G SFP112 LR1/ER1-30
This month, GIGALIGHT will also release new 100G SFP112 LR1/ER1-30 optical transceivers. The 100G SFP112 LR1 uses EML+PIN for 10km transmission, while the 100G SFP112 ER1-30 employs EML+APD for a transmission distance of 30km, with power consumption below 3.5W for both. The ultra-small form factor of SFP112 fulfills the 100G transmission requirements of 5G networks, enhancing density and efficiency.
With its 5G OPEN RAN optical transceiver series, GIGALIGHT has made a strong debut and not only demonstrated its profound expertise in the field of optical communications but also contributed significantly to the construction and development of global 5G networks. In the future, GIGALIGHT will continue to lead with technological innovation, pushing optical networks towards higher bandwidth, lower latency, and greater intelligence, joining hands with global clients to embark on a new chapter of unlimited bandwidth.
